Pattern Y — Printable PDF Barn Quilt Pattern

What you're looking at: The colorful image shown is an example of the finished barn quilt — either a painted or illustrated example. What you'll receive is a printable PDF of the pattern only: the black outline design, ready for you to trace onto your board and paint yourself. The example image is there to show you how yours can look once it's done.

How it works: Download your pattern, transfer the outline onto an ACM (Aluminum Composite Material) board, and paint it your way. You choose the colors — the pattern gives you the lines.  To transfer a printed pattern onto your board, you'll also need graphite transfer paper — place it between the pattern and the board and trace over the lines. (Not needed if you're using the projector method.)

Need a board? If you'd like a primed, ready-to-trace-and-paint 2′ × 2′ board, you can purchase one here. (For a 3′ × 3′ project, you'll need to source your own board locally — larger boards are too costly for us to ship.)

Your download includes four ready-to-use PDF files, so you can make your pattern any size:

• 2′ × 2′ — Print Shop: One large single-page file. Take it to any print shop (Staples, FedEx Office, etc.) and ask them to print it at actual size. Nothing to tape together.
• 2′ × 2′ — Print at Home: Prints across 9 regular letter-size pages that you trim and tape together into a full 2-foot pattern. All you need is a home printer, scissors, and tape.
• 3′ × 3′ — Print at Home: The same idea, sized for a 3-foot board, across 20 pages.
• Projector Sheet: A small single page sized to fit an art projector (like an Artograph Tracer). Project it onto your board at any size and trace — no printing or taping. Requires an opaque art projector.

Every purchase lets you download all four sizes, as many times as you like. Pick whichever method suits you — you only need one.
